Guidelines for Induction into San Francisco State Athletics Hall of Fame:
Student-Athletes
1a. Outstanding achievement in intercollegiate athletics at San Francisco State University. For example: school, conference, or national record holder and/or All Conference, All American recognition
or
1b. Outstanding achievement in the field of athletics after athletic participation at SF State, significant contribution to society, and/or has represented San Francisco State Athletics in such a positive manner that they deserve special recognition. For example: made a major medical discovery, famous actor/actress, major political
2. Accomplishment should be achieved in a manner that exemplifies the San Francisco State concept of a student-athlete. Graduation is not a necessary condition but meaningful progress toward graduation should be considered.
3. A five-year period must elapse from the most recent participation in the intercollegiate athletics program.
Non-Student-Athletes
Must have contributed significantly and with equal distinction to the mission, goals, and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics department. In general, a five-year waiting period should elapse from their most recent interaction with the intercollegiate athletics program before being nominated. However, special consideration can be granted to individuals whose contributions are deemed as worthy for immediate consideration.
