WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – A total of 43 San Francisco State University student-athletes earned All-Academic honors from the California Collegiate Athletic Association for the 2010-11 academic year, the league office announced Monday.

 

This year's CCAA All-Academic selections featured four-time Gator honorees Carly Bliss, Ashley Jackson and Lauren McAulay, while Kirsten Jackson garnered her third award. In addition, nine SF State student-athletes landed on the conference's All-Academic squad  for the second time in their careers, including Ashley Crittendon, Kara Cunningham, Riley Cutner, Samantha Eggert, Tamerra Griffin, Deana Querubin, Cara Spence, Brian Trejo, and Lauren Walsh.

 

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a varsity letterwinner who competed in one of 13 CCAA-sponsored sports during the 2010-11 academic year. Student-athletes must also maintain grade point average of 3.40 or higher in a minimum of 24 semester or 36 quarter units completed at a certifying institution.
