Biography

2011: Started all six meets for the Gators last fall, finishing as the team’s top runner at the West Regional championships with a 10-kilometer clocking of 32:16, which ranks fourth on the school’s all-time performance list (Nov. 5) ... Helped the Purple and Gold capture four consecutive team titles to start the season, including the 8K SF State Invitational, when he placed 10th after crossing the finish line at 25:37.1 (Oct. 7) ... Cracked the top 10 on two other occasions, finishing eighth at the both 4.2-mile Notre Dame de Namur Invitational (22:15) (Sept. 3) and the 8K Sonoma State Invite (27:00) (Oct. 1) ... Logged an 8K career-fast time of 25:25.88 at the University of Washington’s Sundodger Invitational, placing 18th in another highly competitive field (Sept. 17) ... Earned all-academic honors the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the third year in a row ... Was also named to the Gator Athletics honor roll following the fall semester.

2010: Was SF State’s No. 1 performer in five of six meets ... Received CCAA Male Cross Country of the Week honors after finishing as the top collegian and sixth runner overall at the season-opening Stanislaus Invite, where he posted a time of 27:13 to help the Gators capture the team title (Sept. 11) ... Turned in a 12th-place performance of 25:52 at the SF State Invitational to lift the Purple and Gold to a third-place team finish ... Barely missed out on all-conference honors after placing 16th at CCAA Championships with the Gators’ second-fastest 8K time of the season of 25:29.2, which was also a personal best (Nov. 6) ... Finished 45th at the NCAA Division II West Regionals with a 10K clocking of 33:43.3 (Nov. 20) ... Received all-academic distinction from the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association for the second year in row ... Earned academic all-CCAA honors and was named to the Gator Athletics Dean's List for the fourth semester in a row.

2009: Made a big splash during his freshman campaign, leading the Gators in three of the squad’s six meets, including a 25th-place effort in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships where he completed the 8K course in 26:41.90 ... Posted an 8K season-best of 26:40.70 en route to 33rd-place standing at the SF State Invitational and logged a 10K clocking of 33.40.20 to finish 48th out of 131 runners at the NCAA Division II West Regionals ... Opened the year with a seventh-place performance at the 4.05-mile CSUMB Invitational with a time of 22:53 to help the Gators capture the team championship ... Finished 15th overall with a 29.08.78 clocking at the 8K Mills College Invitational two weeks later as SF State collected its second straight title ... Earned all-academic honors by the USTFCCCA ... Also landed on the SF State Athletics Dean’s List for both the fall and spring semesters.
