AUSTIN, Texas — San Francisco State baseball player Jackson Kritsch has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District^® 8 Baseball First Team.

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District^® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

A sophomore infielder, Kritsch earned All-CCAA Second Team honors at second base. The sophomore is hitting a team-best .371 and leads the team with 75 hits, 45 runs, and 10 stolen bases. His 50 appearances and 49 starts are second most on the team. The accounting major not only excels on the field but also in the classroom, where he boasts a 3.96 cumulative grade point average.

First-team Academic All-District^® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America^® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America^® honorees to be announced in June.

The Gators made history on the final day of the season by punching their ticket to their first-ever CCAA Championships appearance under third-year Head Coach Tony Schifano. San Francisco State will face Cal State LA on Thursday, May 10 at 11 a.m. in the second day of the CCAA Championships.
