SAN RAMON, Calif. — San Francisco State's Brantley Bynum has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 19-25. This marks the third time this season that Bynum has taken home the honor. He also earned the honor Jan. 15-21 and Feb. 5-11.
The senior forward from Visalia, California recorded a game-high 17 points in the Gators' dominant win in which the Gators held second-place Chico State to 23.1 percent shooting on Friday night. Bynum wrapped up the weekend with a 19-point performance in a win over Humboldt State. He did so on 14-of-21 (66.7 percent) shooting. Bynum also averaged 5.5 rebounds, one assist, and one steal per game. The CCAA's third-leading scorer leads the Gators in both scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg).
