MBB | Trevor steps down from helm after seven seasons

SAN FRANCISCO — After seven seasons, Paul Trevor is stepping down as the head coach of San Francisco State men's basketball to accept a position at Stanislaus State.

"We're grateful to the energy and effort that Coach Trevor brought to this campus and to the men's basketball program," said Director of Athletics Charles Guthrie. "He leaves San Francisco State in a better place and we wish him well."

This season, Coach Trevor became the fastest head coach in program history to reach the 100-win plateau. Through seven seasons, he has accumulated a 107-86 career record. At the conclusion of the season, Trevor was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) West Region Co-Coach of the Year.

"I'd like to thank everyone at SF State for everything they've given me over the past seven years," said Trevor. "I'm especially grateful to the student-athletes who I've interacted with. The support of the athletes has been overwhelming and a great reason for our success on the court."

This season, Trevor led the No. 22 Gators to a 25-6 record, the best mark in the program's modern era and the most since the 1939-40 season. SF State appeared in the NABC poll in all but two weeks of the season, reaching as high as No. 13. The Gators also finished second in the CCAA and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament Championship for the first time since 1993-94.
