TURLOCK, Calif. As announced this evening at the 2016 CCAA Soccer Championship Banquet, three members of the San Francisco State Gators' women's soccer team were named to the All-CCAA Team as voted on by the 13 head coaches of the conference.
Laura Shea was a Second Team selection while
Autumn Fox and
Paige Yeider each were named to the Honorable Mention Team.
Shea started in all 18 matchers for the Gators this past season. The junior defender recorded one assist while playing a major role in the Gators' defense that allowed just 0.84 goals a game and posted 7 shutouts.
Fox started in 16 of the 17 matches she played in at one of the forward positions for San Francisco State. The redshirt senior led the Gators with her six assists. Yeider started in 15 of the 17 matches she played in this past season at one of the midfielder positions.
San Francisco State, under the guidance of second-year head coach
Tracy Hamm, finished the 2016 campaign with an 8-7-3 overall record and a 4-6-2 CCAA record. This is the second consecutive season that the Gators went 8-7-3 and first time since 2002-03 that they have had back to back winning seasons.
