STOCKTON – Four members of the 2015 SF State were selected to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Team that was announced this morning at the Championship Banquet in Stockton, Calif.  Cory Davis, Nick Jackson, Mark Lindsay and Chad Thurston were selected to the All-CCAA Team that was voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.

Cory Davis and Nick Jackson each were selected to the Second Team while Mark Lindsay and Chad Thurston were Honorable Mention selections.  This is just the third time since the Gators have been a member of the CCAA that they have had four all-conference selections.  The last time was during the 2013 season when Lindsay along with Grady Espinosa, Miguel Flores and Nolan Sheridan were named to the All-CCAA Team.

Davis finished his senior season with a 2-4 record and a 2.85 earned run average.  The senior reliever also recorded 8 saves, which was second in the conference, while striking out a team high 42 batters and walked 19 in 41 innings.  Davis became the Gators' all-time career leader with his 21 saves and finished seventh with 47 appearances. His 8 saves is fifth on the Gators' single season list and last year he recorded 13 which is second.

Jackson was the Gators' starting center field and posted a .983 fielding percentage with 109 putouts and four assists.  He finished third on the team with his .302 batting average.  The redshirt sophomore had 49 hits of which three were doubles and two were triples.  The San Jose native also posted a .390 on-base percentage and a .346 slugging percentage.  Jackson also had six steals this season in 9 attempts.  His game-saving catch in the Gators' 7-4 win over Chico State was No. 2 on the ESPN Sports Center's Top 10 List.

Lindsay was selected to the All-CCAA Team for the third time in his career.  He is the first ever Gator to be named to the All-Conference Team three times during his career. This season, he led the Gators with his .329 batting average, 57 hits and .440 on-base percentage.  On May 3 in the Gators' regular season finale, Lindsay became the Gators' all-time career hits leader with 213.  He is also SF State's career leader with his 192 games played and 688 at bats.  The 2012 CCAA Freshman of the Year is also sixth with 70 walks and tenth with his 86 runs batted in.

Thurston batted .322 in 33 games in his first year as a Gator.  He started in 30 games at either designated hitter or first base for SF State.  He batted .322 with 37 hits and three doubles while driving in 20 runs and scoring 20 times.  He also posted a .333 slugging and .377 on-base percentage with a .989 fielding percentage.

This year's CCAA Pitcher of the Year was UC San Diego's Justin Donatella.  Kamran Young was the Player of the Year while Ryan Olson of Cal Poly Pomona was Newcomer of the Year.  Freshman of the Year was Cal State East Bay's Alex Vesia and Randy Betten of Cal Poly Pomona was Coach of the Year.
SF State finished the 2015 season with a 19-29 overall record including a 17-23 CCAA record.  The Gators finished in a three-way tie for 7th place with Chico State and Sonoma State.
