BRISTOL, Conn.--- SF State's
Decensae White's buzzer beater shot over the #4 Cal Poly Pomona Broncos last night was featured as the sixth top play on ESPN's SportsCenter's Top 10 play list. White connnected on a shot from over half-court to defeat the Broncos 57-55 on Spirit Night at The Swamp.
With the win, the Gators improve to 14-9 overall and 12-7 in the CCAA. They are tied in the CCAA with Cal State L.A. with three games left in the regular season. SF State has now clinched a spot in the CCAA Basketball Championships which starts with First Round games on March 5 at the campus sites of the four highest seeds. The tournament will then move on March 8-9 for the Semi-Final/Final Rounds to the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. The winner of the CCAA Basketball Championships will receive the automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championships.
SF State will return to the court this evening at 7:30pm at The Swamp when the Gators take on Humboldt State in their final home game of the regular season. Prior to the game, the Gators will recognize both teams' seniors including their own in
James Albright,
Winston Demmin and
Decensae White.
