Gators Use 28-2 Second Half Run To Key 83-62 Road CCAA Win at Sonoma State

Box Score ROHNERT PARK, Calif.---  The visiting SF State Gators (5-2, 3-1 CCAA) used a 28-2 second half run to key their 83-62 road conference win over the Sonoma State Seawolves this afternoon in Rohnert Park.  Nefi Perdomo paced the Gators with 26 points while Udun Osakue added 18 points off the bench and Calvin Otiono chipped in 10 points.  The Gators will return to the court on January 3 when they travel to Los Angeles, Calif., for a 7:30pm CCAA game with Cal State L.A.

"A great team effort and the road that is what it takes to win game on the road in the CCAA," said SF State head coach Paul Trevor.  "We rebounded well this afternoon which led to us getting baskets off our transition."

The Gators held their hosts to just 28% shooting from the field including 20% from three-point land as they swept the season series from the Seawolves.

Sterling Arterberry paced Sonoma State (1-7, 0-4 CCAA) with 16 points while Brandon Glanza added 12 points.

SF State shot 51% from the field including 66% in the second half.  The visitors also shot 45% from three-point land with Perdomo going 5-for-6 and Osakue 3-for-4.

The Gators held a 42-39 lead five minutes into the second half and they then went on a 17-0 run to take a 59-39 lead.

They increased their lead to 70-41 on a three by Perdomo with 8:02 to go which capped the Gators 28-2 run.
SF State cruised to the 83-62 road conference win over the Seawolves. 

The Gators are in a three-way tie for third place with Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona heading into the winter break.  They are one game behind Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State L.A. who are tied for first place.  

SF State will return to the court on January 3, when the Gators travel to Los Angeles for a 7:30pm PST CCAA game with Cal State L.A.
