SLIPERRY ROCK, Penn.--- SF State senior pitcher Pat Haugen has been named to the 2010 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II All-America Third Team. This is the seventh post-season that Haugen has been selected to this month. Earlier this week, Haugen was named to the Rawlings/ABCA NCAA Division II Gold Glove Team.
Haugen finished this past season with an 8-4 overall record and a team low 2.53 earned run average. He also struck out a team high 114 batters while walking only 31 in 92.1 innings pitched. His 114 strikeouts broke the school record for strikeouts in a single season at SF State. They also place Haugen third in the nation in strikeouts.
The Cayocas, California, native appeared in 19 games and started in 11 of them while pitching 9 complete games including two shutouts. He also recorded two saves this past season for the Gators, who finished the 2010 season with a 22-32 record.
