Karolyn Gubbine (Richmond, California, Pinole Valley) has been named to the 2010 Daktronics, Inc., Division II All-West Region Team. Gubbine was a Second Team selection. This is the fourth year in a row that the Gators have had a player selected to the All-Region Team. The Daktronics, Inc. All-West Region Team is voted on by the region's sports information directors.
Gubbine finished the season batting a team high .329. She also led the Gators with her 56 hits, 76 total bases, and 10 stolen bases. The senior catcher also tied for the team lead with 23 runs scored and 9 doubles while p9ostign a .447 slugging and .373 on-base percentages. She drove in 15 runs and had three home runs and one triple.
Gubbine had a .981 fielding percentage with 272 putouts and 35 assists behind the plate for the Gators while also playing in the outfield for some of SF State's games this past season. Earlier this month, Gubbine was named the Team's Best Offensive Player at their annual Team Awards Banquet.
