SAN FRANCISCO--- SF State baseball players'
Pat Haugen (Cayucos, California, Cuesta College) and
Ryan Williams (Woodland, California, Yuba College)were named to the 2010 Daktronics Division II All-West Region Baseball Team as announced this afternoon. The Daktronics Team is voted on by the Region's Sports Information Directors. The First Team members will now be placed on the All-American ballot.
Haugen was named to the 2010 All-CCAA First Team earlier this month as he finished the season with an 8-4 record while posting a 2.53 earned run average. He also struck out a SF State single season record 114 batters while walking just 31 in 92.1 innings. Earlier this season, Haugen was named the Wilson/CCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 29. The Cayucos native appeared in 19 games while starting in 11 and had nine complete games including two shutouts. The senior pitcher also recorded two saves this season.
Williams played in 49 of the Gators' 54 games and started in all 49 of them at either first base, third base, or designated hitter. He led the Gators with his .356 batting average, 38 runs batted in, and 13 doubles. Williams also had 6 home runs while scoring 28 runs and had 58 hits. The Woodland native had a .971 fielding percentage, .546 slugging percentage, and a .449 on-base percentage.
