San Francisco, Calif.--- San Francisco State University head women’s soccer coach Jack Hyde has announced the signing of Allison Day to a National Letter of Intent. Day is a 5-10 goalkeeper from Fremont, Calif., and will be a freshman this fall.
“Allison has great potential and we are looking forward to here joining the Gators this August,” said SF State Head Coach Jack Hyde.
Day will graduate from Mission San Jose High School this coming June, where she was a member of the girls’ soccer, volleyball and softball teams. As a member of the soccer team for Mission San Jose, she was All-League First Team her junior and senior seasons and her senior season, the Warriors were Mission Valley Athletic League (MVAL) Co-Champions.
The newest member to the Gators was also named to the All-League Second Team for volleyball, along with being All-League First team in softball. The Warriors were also co-champions of the MVAL during her freshman season as a member of the volleyball team.
Allison Day Was a Two-Time All-MVAL Soccer Player at Mission San Jose HS
SF State finished the 2009 season with an 8-8-4 overall record and a 6-7-3 record in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The Gators tied for second in the CCAA North Division this past season.
