Seattle, Wash.--- The women's 4x400 relay team of
Tyler Dalbey (Petaluma, Calif., Santa Rosa JC),
Kelsey Feeley (Palo Alto, Calif., Gunn HS),
Carrie Thomas (Fremont, Calif., Milpitas HS), and
Alicia Chambers won their section with what proved to be the best time of the meet, 4:01.80, to highlight the SF State's track team's performance at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Washington. This time is also the second fastest time in school history.
Feeley, besides being a member of the winning relay team, broke the school record in the 600 with a time of 1:41.30, which won her section.
”This was a good team performance by the Gators this afternoon,” said SF State Head Track & Field Coach Terry Burke. “It was a good way to finish the indoor season and to head in the outdoor season in two weeks.”
Tyler Dalbey also won her section in the 400 meter with a time of 1:00.76 while
Carrie Thomas finished third in the 60 meter with a time of 8.16. Other top five finishers for the Gators were:
Felicia Terwilliger (Eureka, Calif., West Warwich (Rhode Island))(tied 3
rd, high jump, 5-03),
Meagen Moiola (Morro Bay, Calif., Morro Bay HS) (tied 3
rd, high jump, 5-03),
Sheila Cleland (Union City, Calif., Redwood Christian HS) (fourth, shot put, 33-10.75) and
Luisa Musika (Milpitas, Calif., Milpitas HS) (fourth, weight, 45-4.50).
SF State is off until Saturday, February 28, when the Gators open up the outdoor season in Chico, California, as they will participate in the Wildcat Relays on the campus of Chico State University.
SF State also had top 25 finishers in their sections in the following events:
